About the practice

Practical, relationship-first support — built around the person, not the diagnosis.

Elizabeth Downie brings a social worker's lens and a special educator's practical toolkit to every plan she writes. She works alongside participants, families, schools and support teams to understand the why behind behaviour and build skills that last.

A master's in social work taught her to look at the whole system — family, school, housing, funding, history. A master's in special education taught her what actually works in a classroom on a difficult Tuesday afternoon. Plans are written in plain language, co-designed with the people who use them, and aimed squarely at reducing restrictive practices.

Remember Us 2 is deliberately small. You work with Elizabeth — not a roster of rotating staff — from the first conversation through assessment, plan, implementation and review.

Services

What Elizabeth does

Behaviour support delivered with the participant and their network — at home, at school, in supported accommodation and out in the community.

01

Functional Behaviour Assessments

Observation, interviews and data in the settings that matter — uncovering the function of a behaviour and what needs to change around it.

02

Behaviour Support Plans

Interim and comprehensive plans that meet NDIS Commission requirements and still read like something a real support team can follow.

03

Restrictive Practice Reduction

Authorisation support, monthly reporting and a staged plan for doing less of it — with the environment changes that make that realistic.

04

Skill & Capacity Building

Communication, regulation and daily-living strategies that grow independence and give people better ways to be understood.

05

Family & School Collaboration

Implementation coaching for families, educators and support workers so strategies stay consistent across every setting.

06

NDIS Goal Support

Aligning supports with participant goals, tracking meaningful progress, and preparing the evidence needed at every review.

The approach

Positive behaviour support, held together by relationships.

Behaviour is communication. Before strategies come conversations — with the participant, their family, their workers and the services around them — to build an honest picture of what is happening, and why.

From there the work is practical: change the environment, teach the skill, support the people doing the supporting, then check honestly whether life is getting better.

01

Meet & listen

A no-pressure first conversation about goals, history and what success looks like for the participant.

02

Functional assessment

Observation, interviews and data — building a real picture of behaviour in context.

03

Plan & co-design

A written behaviour support plan, co-designed with the participant and their network rather than handed to them.

04

Implement & coach

Hands-on coaching for families, carers and educators so strategies stick through a hard day.

05

Review & adapt

Regular reviews against goals — plans evolve as the participant and their circumstances change.

Working confidently inside the NDIS framework.
